Arundel Literary Day

On World Book Day 2023, March 2nd, I was invited to present at the inaugral Arundel Literary Day. My talk was entitled Who You Gonna Call? Ghostwriters! I shared my unexpected journey into ghostwriting - as well as some practical tips about the process - to an enthusiastic and supportive audience in the Green Room at the Victoria Institute.

I was able to sample some of the other workshops and talks on the day, including an inspiring poetry-writing workshop run by Dónall and Janice Dempsey, a hugely entertaining An Ear for Radio talk by the always-engaging Simon Brett, and two round-table discussions. The first, Why I Write, What Keeps Me Going? was chaired by Barry Smith, with Chris Hardy, Stephanie Norgate, Mandy Pannett giving their personal view on writing. The second, Publishing and getting published, explored some different routes into publishing. All sessions were informative and well-supported.

The sun shone, and I celebrated with lunch by the river. It was a privilege to be part of this literary day, and I hope that it is the start of many more to come in Arundel.
